a series of professional development modules to a select audience for
deployment in their classrooms and buildings.
i-SAFE Internet
Safety
In partnership with the ESD Educational Technology
Support Centers in the State of Washington, i-SAFE America is providing
a prevention-oriented Internet safety education program for students in
grades K-12. This program includes professional development opportunities,
K-12 curriculum at no charge, opportunities for students to participate
in leadership activities, and parent and community resources.

The ETSCs are now offering educators the opportunity to earn clock hours
while learning technology skills online using Element K as a resource.

The goals of Peer Coaching are to foster the systematic integration
of technology into classrooms by training teachers to become coaches for
other teachers in their schools. Washington State ETSCs are partnering
with Microsoft to deliver this program.
ThinkQuest
ThinkQuest USA is offered to teachers and students
interested in participating in a program to build educational websites.
The celebrated ThinkQuest Library is a freely available resource of student-created

and classroom. Resources found on the Thinkfinity web site (http://www.thinkfinity.org/)
and the six partner web sites offer teachers invaluable educational resources,
and the program offers free training, across the country, so that teachers
learn how to use this rich content in their classrooms daily. The ETSC
program is the lead vehicle for:
providing
training to teachers
aligning Thinkfinity lessons to Washington State standards
developing and hosting this WWW site
promoting
the use of Thinkfinity resources
Blackboard
ETDC has purchased a Blackboard server for statewide
educational projects. This online learning and teaching environment has
the potential for enhancing technology projects through its unique capacity
for course delivery, resource sharing, and communication.
