About This Website

This website is a joint collaboration of the nine Educational Technology Support Center Directors in Washington State. Each ETSC Director and/or Workshop Coordinator can contribute content, websites and blog entries to the site. Anne Allen, Director of the Education Technology Development Center (the statewide projects coordinator for the ETSC program) and Educational Technology staff at OSPI are also involved.

Blog entries are automatically collected from several off-site locations and the newest items from each blog are displayed in "Blogology." The number of items displayed from each blog is determined by the magnitude of the blogger's writing and by the Director's participation in other aspects of the site.

Calendar items are automatically collected from a variety of sources and also hand-entered.

Most of the website collections displayed under "Ed Tech Resources" are automatically gathered from the "Delicous.com" collections of the ETSC Directors. Each ETSC Director can easily add the address of a "tagged" Delicious.com feed they wish to share. Each evening sites "tagged" in that director's feed are added/updated at this site. Out-of-date (broken links) are automatically removed from the listing weekly.

The Wax Museum

The Wax Museum

At Lewis and Clark Middle School in Yakima, WA several teachers met six years ago and decided that they would like to have a culminating project for 8th grade social studies classes. Thus the wax museum project was born. Eric Franz, a special education teacher and participant in the Peer Coaching program, has been the leader of this project since its inception.
